After college, I moved to Guatemala where I interned with an ethical fashion brand, Hiptipico. The bulk of their revenue was driven by their Instagram. It was quite an experience to see how a social team runs! At Hiptipico, I designed marketing emails and a series of Instagram story highlights, took product photos, and photographed sourcing tours for our marketing channels.
After my time in Guatemala, I was thrilled to find a position with a fair trade wholesaler where I could remain connected to Latin America. I never would have guessed how much opportunity my time here could hold. I worked on engaging projects across disciplines, from web design to photoshoots in South America to designing print catalogs and everything in between.
I've invested heavily in my education, earning a Bachelor of Arts from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and an Associate of Arts from Madison Area Technical College. Studying design under the amazingly talented faculty at MATC has transformed not only my skills, but the way I look at the world around me. I gratefully bring these lessons in noticing and connecting everywhere I go.
